Yesterday, my wife and I learned that our current difficult situation isn't a result of the confluence of unfortunate circumstances and a few bad decisions. It's a divine punishment doled out by God himself.

At least, that's the answer my wife got from her mother when she was explaining why we're kind of broke and may need to borrow some money to make all of our bills this month.

It couldn't be that we bought another car when her doctor gave her the go ahead to return to work full time and I was making about $150 more weekly than I am now.
It couldn't be that I'm still looking for a full time job that can maybe allow me to stay back in school so I don't have to endure the cycle of low paying high stress jobs that nearly put me in the hospital last year.
It couldn't be some third run-on sentence that highlights a combination of bad decisions and circumstances that led us to this point.
Nope. It's God punishing us and the fact that we need help is proof enough that we don't deserve it.

Funny man. It is amazing that god has time to do all of this micro-managing, isn't it?

Yep. Bad decisions suck. I made some poor choices in college and had to make that shameful phone call to home asking for money because I forgot that my college increased my tuition by about 1000$ per term not per year. So funnily enough I get a phone call from my financial office asking why I haven't paid the remaining 1300$ (late fees and BS).......not a good phone call home.

But whatever, just gotta work through them I guess. I could've "afforded" a new car when I got my new job, but one wrong thing happening and I would've been boned. Actually a few bad things did happen, so yeah I dodged a bullet by driving my crapcans. Learning lessons the hard way and accepting that those lessons are important to remember sucks.
